Other duties may be assigned. • Setup and operate machines such as shears, cutoff saws, brakes, punch press, form roll and drill press, to cut and shape components to specified dimensions. • Forms production parts involving curvatures, sharp angles, and/or deep draws, which result in severe forming to pre-heat and hot form material as required. • Assembles, forms, fits, positions, and aligns component parts in proper relation to each other where subassemblies require precise and difficult locating. • Lays out trim lines, hole patterns, file contours and performs hand forming, riveting, bolting, clamping, dimpling and locating tack weld to build up subassemblies and assemblies. • Performs pressure testing on fabricated assemblies as required. • Setup and operates automatic and semi-automatic weld equipment, including mig, plasma arc, EB, laser, induction and resistance welding equipment as required. • Performs Setup, fit-up, trimming, position, align, clamp, bolt, and tack-weld diversified and involved structural assemblies and subassemblies. • Weld parts and/or assemblies. • Develops welding sequences, techniques and procedures as required for qualification, certification and/or making weld schedules on various types of metals. Cut and shape sheet metal using various cutting equipment to meet project dimensions. • Assemble and fabricate sheet metal components, including joining seams, welding, and soldering, to create a finished product that meets quality standards. • Lay out and position sheet metal components based on project drawings and specifications, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to design requirements. • Secure sheet metal components in place using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, welding, or soldering techniques.
