See More Details >>The Pipefitter plays a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of various piping systems. This position reports to the Foreman and is not responsible for the oversight of other teammates. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position. Your Role • Bolt up and alignment of flanged piping systems • Installation of gaskets • Layout of various piping systems • Bevel and grove ductile iron and steel pipe • Welding of process piping systems • Cutting and fabrication of spool pieces • Sweating/soldering piping (non-potable water) • Threading/cutting pipe • Glue and assemble plastic piping • Cut/fuse and assemble PVDF piping • Beveling, cutting, fitting associated with piping prior to welding • Installation of small diameter tubing for instrumentation and controls • Installation of prefabricated or pre-manufactured pipe supports including anchors for same Your Education and Experience • High School or Vocational and or relevant work experience • Minimum of 1-3+ years of experience within the construction industry What You Bring to the Team • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment • Strong team player with a positive attitude • Hard working and motivated Work Environment/Physical Demands • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site • Prepared to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditions • Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders • Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance, and stoop, reach on a regular basis • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Travel Travel is primarily local, and limited to Northeast jobsite locations, during the business day; with occasional out of state and overnight travel.
