Fire Suppression FOREMAN Sprinkler Pipe Fitter

4+ YEARS OF FOREMAN EXPERIENCE IN FIRE SUPPRESSION PIPE FITTING TRADE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION Immediate opening for an experienced fire suppression sprinkler fitter We are a local Fire Suppression Company in Jackson Michigan that has been in business since 2010. We are looking for an experienced Journeyman fire sprinkler fitter to work in and around the Detroit, Jackson, Lansing and other surrounding areas. Travel is involved with this position. As a field team leader, you must be able to do full installations / modifications of Wet, Dry, and Pre-Action systems in accordance with NFPA codes. Job Duties, skills & Qualifications: • Installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. • Install, service, and trouble-shooting automatic fire sprinkler systems along with all its related equipment. -Required • Thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, frequently climb ladders, hang pipe, read blueprints, layout, keep clean work area, and use appropriate equipment for any specific job such as tools, lifts, etc.- Required • Knowledge of Fire Sprinklers, Fire Pumps, Back-flows and Standpipes are required • Able to work unsupervised • must be highly self-motivated and detail oriented- Required • Must be able to perform on-site and/or off-site (phone) emergency troubleshooting of sprinkler systems. -Required • Ensure that all projects are done flawlessly • Must have standard tools and basic knowledge in the operation of hand and power tools • Must have valid Driver License and clean record -Required • Must pass reference check • Must be available to work on nights, weekends, and/or holidays if needed for emergency service calls. • Must be able to travel • Other duties as assigned Education and/or experience • High School diploma or equivalent - Required • Minimum 4 year's experience as a foreman in fire protection- Required • Basic Knowledge of NFPA code handbooks This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and traveling. You must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all company safety requirements on the jobsite. Heavy equipment may be used, and you need to be able to lift heavy objects.
