Position Overview As a Marine Pipefitter, you’ll be responsible for the fabrication, installation, repair, and testing of shipboard piping systems in compliance with NAVSEA, MSC, and ABS standards. Key Responsibilities • Fabricate, install, and repair marine piping systems per blueprints and specifications. • Operate pipe threading machines, benders (manual and powered), drill presses, and brazing equipment. • Perform blanking, hydrostatic, and pressure testing of tanks and structural boundaries. • Interpret drawings, manuals, and work packages to complete accurate and efficient work. • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards. • Mentor and assist helpers and improvers as assigned. Qualifications • Minimum 4 years of marine/shipyard pipefitting experience. • Strong understanding of P-73 joint fit-up and Silver Brazing theory. • Ability to certify in: • MT Braze (B-1) • MT Braze (B-2) • Proficient in both U.S. standard and metric measurement systems. • Physically able to wear PPE (respirator, harness, hard hat, etc.) and perform shipboard work safely. • Must pass pre-employment screening and background requirements.
