Description U.A.W represented position responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems across various settings througout the facility. Essential Functions • Install and maintain piping systems for air, oil, gas, paint, acids, solvents, etc.. including pump and collectors. • Cut threads, bend, file, de-burr, ream and install pipes, couplings, unions, elbows, flanges, valves, etc. • Work with cast iron, brass, stainless steel, and other types of metal piping, valves, traps, and vessels • Use all types of pipefitters’ tools including taps, portable power pipe threaders, gas torches, hack saws, drills, benders, etc. • Service and install sinks, toilets, showers, etc. • This position will have other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • Must be a journeyman pipe fitting or able to immediately qualify for a journeyman pipe fitter card. • Must be able to read blueprints and be able to use in-process gauges. • Must be able to work on roof, in tunnels and on high work platforms. • Manlifts up to 40 FT above floor. • Must be able to calibrate test cells: Fuel, Smoke Meters, and other test equipment. • Must have mechanical skills • Must have mathematical skills. • Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs. and must be able to bend and lift. • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance. Pipe Welder - Per Diem Offered

About the position The Journeyman Pipe Welder position involves working on a new water treatment facility in Muskegon, MI. The role requires expertise in welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipes, as well as plate welding on holding tanks. The candidate must be proficient in both pipe welding and pipefitting, and the job is expected to last for 8 months with a full-time schedule of 50 hours per week.
