PLUMBER Job Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution and sanitation systems throughout the casino. Fix and maintain equipment while also performing preventive maintenance. Essential Functions: • Ensure compliance with the applicable laws and gaming regulations and our property policies and procedures. • Ensure the highest possible standards of guest services by properly listening and responding to guest and team members’ concerns and questions. • Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems and other plumbing materials. • Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids. • Install supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation. • Assemble fittings and valves for installation • Modify length of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing material as needed for building. • Use saws, pipe cutters and other equipment as necessary. • Install heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters. • Collaborate with vendors for leaks and other problems. • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems. • Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair. • Assist with selection of plumbing materials based on budget, location and intended uses of building. • Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes. • Write reports documenting the problem and summary of action taken. • Perform inspection of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts. • Manage and maintain security of confidential information entrusted to position. • Attend and satisfactorily complete all required training as assigned. • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements and IRS Currency Transaction Reports and property established Anti-Money Laundering policies. • The essential functions listed above are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities pertinent to this position. Minimum Requirements to Qualifications: • Must have High School Diploma or GED. • Minimum three (3) years of experience in apprentice field work. • Must have knowledge of apprentice level plumbing skills to include use of all relative tools and equipment and understanding technical drawings. • Must have knowledge of material required to complete projects. • Strong communication skills in English both written and oral. Spanish or other language skills a plus. Physical Demands: • While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen on a regular basis. • The team member must be able to concentrate for prolonged periods. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. • The team member must be able to communicate effectively in person or using telecommunications equipment. • The team member must have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone and calculator. • Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. Work Environment: • Casino floor, facility work rooms, outside premises, and normal office setting. • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment and frequent contact with the public. • Temperature controlled environment with varying noise levels. May be exposed to high levels of noise throughout the day. • May be exposed to inclement weather and extreme weather conditions. • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours under stressful conditions • May be exposed to various types of lighting including, but not limited to: artificial fluorescent lights, flashing lights, strobe lights, multiple colored lights, etc. Conditions of Employment: • Must be able to obtain and retain necessary licenses, including successful completion of background check necessary to obtain and maintain license.
