The Plaster Laborer (Hod Carrier) performs entry level tasks and supports the lead plasterers in repairs and renovation work of stucco, plastering, masonry, and tile hard and soft wetting, and is responsible for mixing materials to a correct consistency. The Plaster Laborer (Hod Carrier) is responsible for carrying material and ensuring the team has what is needed to keep progressing forward. This position will lead to training in the field, and plenty of hands-on experience to learn the trade over time. Hod carrier duties as follows: • Mask off project with protective coverings set up scaffolding set up mixing station on numerous project . • Mix mud for plasters and must be able to lift 50LB - 80Lb on a regular basis. • Run a Hog drill . • Aid in helping plasters get them the proper materials and tools as needed. • As you advance we will teach you the art of plaster and stucco applications as this is a specialty trade and pay is considerably more when you become a journeyman.
