Job Full DescriptionExpress Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Metal Fabricator to join a local business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating metal components according to specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong understanding of various metalworking techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to be self sufficient as well as work in to the existing team. Responsibilities Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to fabricate metal parts. Develop plans and get measurements and specifications to see projects from start to finish. Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes. Steel, Stainless steel, Aluminum, Other metals. Perform plasma cutting and sheet metal fabrication tasks with precision. Be responsible for keeping a clean and safe shop environment. Utilize math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements. Operate forklifts safely to transport materials around the workshop as well as to job sites. Conduct inspections of finished products holding a high standard of fit and finish. Manage other colleges and keep accurate attention to schedule and project deadlines. Skills Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication processes. Experience with plasma cutting and sheet metal work. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents. Strong math skills for accurate measurements, calculations and design concepts. Knowledge of lathe and milling machine a plus. Familiarity with CAD and CAM systems a plus, Drafting skills. Experience operating forklifts and other equipment is advantageous. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Minimum 5 years experience required. Skills and proficiency test will be give prior to hiring.
