Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team that makes a variety of products to fit client’s needs. The ideal candidate will have five years of shop work with various fabricating techniques, tools and metals. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze blueprints and specifications: Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine project layout and required materials. • Measure and mark dimensions: Accurately measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets. • Cut and shape metal: Operate machinery such as shears, drills, punches, and brake presses to cut and shape material. • Assemble components: Fasten seams and joints using welds, bolts, rivets, solder, or other adhesives. • Install sheet metal: Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks at construction sites. • Inspect and maintain: Perform maintenance and repair work on systems or structures made of sheet metal, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans. • Proficiency in using tools and machinery such as shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses. • Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations. • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work for extended periods. • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. • Welding experience or certification is a plus. Education and Training: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Completion of a 4 or 5 year apprenticeship program. • Additional certifications in welding or related fields are advantageous.
