A Sheet Metal Technician III fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs all types of HVAC related sheet metal products and equipment. The Technician III also performs equipment startups and check outs. • In-depth knowledge of dry-side commercial applications and design. • Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs all types of HVAC related sheet metal products and equipment. • Works under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems. • Documents work by completing paperwork and backup documentation. • Current journeyman license or able to obtain. • OSHA training; upholds and mentors a high standard of safety at all times. • Experience with blueprint reading and layout. • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. • May act as a lead or first-level supervisor. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Able to multi-task and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally. • Effective communicator with customers and management. • Self-starter, high energy level and possess physical stamina. • Ability to stand for long periods of time. • Involves lifting and moving heavy materials, loading and unloading vehicles, digging and refilling holes and other activities as needed. The Sheet Metal Foreman will be closely working with leadership to understand the goals and direction of the company and lead their team to generate profits. • Develop solutions to make sure issues never become problems. • Reviews projects with Superintendent and/or Project Manager after equipment and subs are procured. • Does physical survey of project with the Superintendent to ascertain conditions and reports back to PM in writing, if required. • Does takeoffs for projects in a timely and thorough manner with the Superintendent. • Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions to include, but not limited to, scheduling, material control, and rentals. • Provide daily job completion percentages. • Assures all site personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements, company policies and other requirements as they occur. Documents all incidents as they occur and notifies Project Manager and Superintendent. Recommends and implements corrective action. • Responsible for assuring that all jobs have weekly reports filled and turned into the office weekly. This is to include safety / toolbox reports, preconstruction, weekly production report and any project specific reports. • Conducts inspections on jobs, assures jobs are detailed to Pueblo Mechanical standards, assures jobs are ready, and participates as needed, in start-ups and coordinates as needed with contractors, engineers, subcontractors and owners as necessary. • Coordinates with shop for production scheduling and deliveries. • 4 plus years’ experience; journeyman or able to obtain license. • Able to read blueprints and prepare materials lists. • Work to increase Team efficiency and uphold high standards of safety at all times. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Must be self-motivated and punctual. • Must be able to multi-task and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally. • Must be professional in appearance and speech. • Experience with government facilities a plus.
