Metals Fabricator

Fabricator Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team and support our manufacturing operation in Albany, OR. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating steel and other metal parts as indicated by the work order and blue prints. This includes operating a Press Brake and/or Shear, adjusting rake (angle) and pressure of blade, positioning and clamping stops and side guides to set length and angle of cut, lifting and positioning workpiece against side guide and end stops, starting machine and lowering blade to cut metal, laying out cutting lines on metal when shearing single pieces, tilting bed, blade, or installing fixtures to shear, bevel, or trim fabricated items, and operating a portable shear to cut sheet metal. To succeed in this role, you will need prior experience operating a Press Brake and/or Shear, with setup experience being a plus. You should also have an understanding of basic CNC controls, 1+ years prior production experience, ability to read blue prints and measuring tape, basic math and problem solving skills, and experience working in a fast paced production environment.
