As a generator technician, you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to demonstrate technical competency and ensure desired revenue metrics. The Big Task You will diagnose and repair standby generator systems and lead customers to informed and confident repair decisions. Key Sub Tasks • Test generator systems using tools to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure everything is working properly. • Document actions, testing results, observations of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job. • Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely, and report any issues to immediate supervisor • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements. • Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential homes • Train and mentor apprentices Desired Skills and Experience • Continued education and training to obtain Generac certifications. • Clean, safe driving record. • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities. • Strong verbal and written communications. • High integrity with advanced social skills and ability to make solid connections. • Strong desires to be a better technician tomorrow than you are today. • Outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment. • Competitive individual contributor who also loves to win as a team. • Highly motivated, self-starter who’s flexible and has a great attitude on life. • Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test • Must be detail oriented • A family.
