Mechanic Welder / Pipefitter Charlotte NC Pay Rate : $25 $38 per hour (Depending on Experience) About the Role The client. is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Industrial Boiler Mechanic with strong skills in welding pipefitting boiler installation and general industrial mechanical work. This hands-on position involves both shop and field work performing fabrication installation boiler retubing refractory repairs and mechanical maintenance. The ideal candidate is technically skilled dependable and committed to high-quality craftsmanship and on-site safety. Key Responsibilities Boiler Installation : Install align and secure packaged boilers deaerators economizers and other pressure-retaining equipment in compliance with ASME / NBIC codes. Welding & Fabrication : Perform SMAW MIG and TIG welding in shop and field settings; fabricate brackets skids supports and piping systems. Boiler Re-Tubing & Repairs : Remove and replace boiler tubes roll and weld new tubes and conduct hydrostatic testing. Refractory Work : Inspect remove install and repair refractory materials for optimal boiler performance and safety. Pipefitting : Assemble and install pipe systems valves fittings and supports using blueprints and technical drawings. Code Work : Support ASME / NB repairs and alterations following regulatory and quality standards. Safety Compliance : Follow OSHA guidelines attend mandatory safety training and maintain a safe work environment. Team Collaboration : Communicate effectively maintain professionalism and support team operations onsite and in the shop.
