Job Title: Pipefitter - 1st and 2nd Shift AvailableJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and production and processing systems. The role involves working from prints and using both hand and power tools.ResponsibilitiesSelect the type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications.Cut pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine.Thread pipe using a threading machine.Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine.Mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceilings to hold pipe.Assemble and install a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings using threaded, caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools.Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.Install and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping.Test piping systems.Weld pipe supports to structural steel members.Essential SkillsPipe fitting, threading, and installation.Blueprint reading.Plumbing experience with at least 5 years of understanding plumbing fittings.Knowledge of how to thread pipe is strongly preferred.Construction and piping system experience.Experience with genset and brazing.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong math skills to measure accurately to the nearest 16th of an inch.Why Work Here?Join a stable and growing company with a state-of-the-art facility and exciting growth opportunities. Sundays are paid at double time, and overtime kicks in after 40 hours. The facility is newly expanded and features large bay doors. Safety gear such as steel toes, eye protection, and hearing protection are mandatory.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Darien, Wisconsin or Beloit, WisconsinPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
