Position Summary: Ability to fabricate, install and fabricate screw pipe, carbon steel pipe, stainless steel sch 10 weld pipes; miter and fabricate ; install valves; install underground pipe; install pipe hangers and supports when needed; minor valve maintenance and repair; oxygen and acetylene cutting at times; basic rigging; operation of pneumatic and electric tools. Overview Plumber/Pipefitter Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, United States Job | Posted: 19-Sep-2025 | Service line: GWS Segment | Role type: Full-time Areas of Interest: Building Management, Engineering/Maintenance, Facilities Management About the Role As a CBRE Plumber/Pipefitter, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and fixing of plumbing, mechanical and distribution systems throughout a facility. This role requires a Journeyman certification; additional certifications in Medical Gas and Backflow are highly preferred. Steam condensation experience is also preferred. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You’ll Do • Repair, install, replace, test, and fix water and medical gas supply, steam systems, traps, etc. • Knowledge of steam piping and components • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed • Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE-related requirements • Complete HSE programs and activities as required (incident investigations, interviews, auditing, assessments, etc.) • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management What You’ll Need • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
