Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of pipefitting, including fire sprinkler fitting, HVAC systems, and pipeline construction. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading. The Pipefitter will be responsible for ensuring that all piping systems are installed correctly and maintained to meet safety standards. Duties • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems. • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for various applications including fire sprinklers. • Utilize basic math skills to calculate measurements and material requirements. • Perform welding tasks using stick welding and FCAW techniques as needed. • Collaborate with other construction site workers to ensure timely project completion. • Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify maintenance needs. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on the construction site. • Build and assemble piping systems according to specifications. Requirements • Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction industry. • Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings. • Familiarity with fire sprinkler fitting and pipeline installation. • Proficiency in stick welding and FCAW techniques is highly desirable. • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. • Ability to work effectively on a construction site, adhering to safety protocols. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Physical stamina to handle manual labor tasks associated with pipefitting duties. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
