Journeyman Pipefitter

Company Overview: Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking dependable and safety-conscious Pipe Laborers / Pipefitter Helpers to join our team for an upcoming project in Clarksburg, West Virginia. This position involves assisting piping crews with the fabrication, cutting, and placement of steel pipe around valve settings. Candidates must be physically capable, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a demanding industrial environment. Primary Responsibilities: • Assist piping crews in cutting, fabricating, and positioning steel pipe to support welding operations. • Aid in the installation of piping systems, with a focus on valve configuration areas. • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards. • Take direction from site supervisors and collaborate with welders and team members. • Comply with all job site safety protocols and operational procedures. Schedule & Compensation: • Typical Work Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week • Per Diem: $100 per day, provided for each day worked Qualifications: • Prior experience assisting welders or working with pipe is preferred • Must pass both drug screening and background check • Required to supply and wear full PPE, including: • Type 2 flame-resistant (FR) clothing • Lace-up steel-toe boots • Hard hat Job Type: Temporary Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 50 per week Schedule: • 10 hour shift • 8 hour shift Work Location: In person

RDR is seeking pipefitters for our Piping and Mechanical division, these positions will be located primarily in Clarksburg, WV. Job Summary: Pipefitters will report directly to RDR supervisor. This role will lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related equipment for the oil and gas industry. Effective, Professional communicator with customer, managers and workers. General knowledge of gas compression and dehydration of natural gas is required. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Able to build strong relationships with customer representatives along with ensuring quality work and project compliance. • Be able to lead by example, achieve desired results, make decisions in the field and work in a fast-paced environment. • Coordinate and manage multiple employees and crews for each job. • Responsible for certain administrative duties including timesheets for crew members, production reports, and schedules. • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. • Ensure that workers, equipment and materials are used safely and efficiently while maximizing productivity. • Coordinate assigned work with other companies, trades, departments or other contractors. Education/Experience Requirements • High school degree or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeship required • 7-years’ experience in the oil and gas industry • Able to read and comprehend P&ID’s and Iso’s. • Skilled at drawing iso’s and redline as-builts per customer requirement. • Must be able to work at a minimum under API 1104 standards and if required, costumer standards that go above and beyond it. • Inspect, examine and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation or other methods. • Highly skilled with rolling offsets, degrees, pipe threading, welding, and other pipefitting and tubing techniques. • Must be able to pull elevations from top of pipe utilizing a sight level and/or transit. • Experience with equipment and rigging to be able to unload and position pipe for welding. • The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
