Laborer

Scala & Son is in need of a full-time laborer. Starting pay will be determined by experience, but no certifications, licenses, or masonry experience is required. We will provide all necessary training and certifications needed. We are looking to have someone start immediately, or in the very near future. A laborer with Scala & Son will do a variety of tasks depending on the job site and scope of work being completed. Typical tasks could include providing materials to masons, acting as a ground safety guide, cleaning and organizing trailer and job site, removing debris, light demolition, moving equipment and other site related tasks. While doing these tasks there are plenty of opportunities to learn the masonry trade. We do not wear our people out, and generally do not do groundwork, pools, patios, retaining walls, hardscape, or landscaping. Most of our work is on condominium complexes, commercial buildings, schools, cellular antenna sites, smokestacks, and historical restoration. Scala & Son is a family owned business that treats employees well. A typical week is Monday to Friday. Often there are opportunities to work Saturday or Sunday, but weekend days are never required.
