Who are we looking for? We’re looking for a Construction Inspector (also known as Resident Project Representative) to join our Northeast Water business in Hyannis, MA! As a Construction Inspector, you will serve as the primary liaison between the engineers and the contractors throughout all phases of our projects. You will provide on-site observation of water and wastewater construction projects which includes civil, piping, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and controls construction associated with water and wastewater collection and treatment facility projects. This is an integral role within the project team as you will represent GHD to clients, regulatory agencies, the public, and other interested parties. You'll perform operational and administrative data collection and analysis while maintaining appropriate reports and records, field verification of conformance with contract documents and assist with contract close-out documentation. Project Manager - Construction

Posted CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER Position Function Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities related to specific projects on Steamship Authority premises. Responsible for developing the budget specifications, plans, contracts, proposals and purchase orders for special projects. Review and approve plans and specifications prepared by consultants. Administer all shore side construction contracts specific to special project through completion. Ensure that the Steamship Authority complies with all applicable Massachusetts building codes and Handicapped Access Regulations and also the Department of Environmental Quality Engineering Rules and Regulations. Duties And Responsibilities • Develop bid documents, negotiate, supervise and coordinate the performance and scheduling of contractors. • Coordinate with the contractors all work to be conducted by in-house resources and outside contractors. • Perform periodic inspections of the terminals, buildings, docks and parking facilities pertaining to special projects. • Investigate, to determine the cause of and recommend corrective actions to be taken on casualties or damage to areas pertaining to special projects at terminals, buildings, docks and parking facilities. • Establish and maintain a long term planning schedule for special projects at terminals, buildings, docks and parking facilities. • Provide liaison with the insurance underwriters on the review and inspection of special projects at terminals, buildings, docks, and parking facilities. • Responsible for assisting with the Authority’s environmental regulatory compliance to ensure operations and maintenance activities comply with both Federal and Massachusetts rules and regulations. Maintain all applicable records for regulatory review at all times. • Keep the General Manager informed on the status of all ongoing projects. • Attend weekly department meetings as directed. • Respond to emergency situations pursuant to special projects outside of normal work hours. • Fulfill the duties and responsibilities which may be delegated by the General Manager. • Perform other duties as required by supervisor. Required Knowledge • B.S. in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering • A minimum of 5 years work experience in the construction and supervision of construction of buildings • Professional Engineering License is required Work Remotely • No The minimum salary for this position is $110,500 and the maximum salary is $174.600. Senior Construction Inspector

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Senior Resident Project Representative or Senior Construction Inspector for oversight and inspection of utility and infrastructure projects in the Cape Cod area of Massachusetts. The job is a great opportunity for long term professional development as part of a team of professional engineers. What you’ll do: • Review of contract documents and construction management requirements to identify and report degree of Contractor's compliance. • Confirm compliance of shop drawings and other construction modifications; measure the quantities and observe quality of construction; prepare daily records of construction work; record and report problems and failures to comply with contract documents and construction management requirements. • Review and evaluate Contractor’s work schedules and updates with the Project Manager. • The projects will require careful coordination with abutters and the client, contract administration and reporting, and coordination with engineers working in support. • With municipality involvement, negotiate claims for extra work/change orders. • Maintain, liaison and attend regular site meetings to anticipate construction work, potential problems, progress, and other job-related conditions. • Review and recommend Contractor’s monthly payment estimates; supervise subordinate consultant staff and survey crew as appropriate. • Maintain positive relationships with municipal staff and contractors. • Some overtime may be required.
