Production Technician - Wind Turbine Composite Manufacturing

Manufacturing and Production Positions: Lamination Tech, Trim Tech, Finish Tech, Mold Care Tech, etc. Job Purpose: Prepare and infuse molds for the next stage of production. Duties: • Pack fiberglass mattes into prepared molds per the provided work instruction, in a safe and timely manner. • Manifold and infuse packed parts/panels using proper PPE and safety guidelines. • A respirator may be necessary, in which a pulmonary exam, and fit test will be mandatory to perform this task. • Meets schedule deadlines set out daily by management within reason. • Participates in “buddy system” regarding PPE and safety. • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for professional attitude, language, and appearance while on shift or in uniform. Skills/Qualifications: • Ability to cut fiberglass matte using scissors, ironing, and other provided hand tools. • Must be able to work a 5-day work week - Monday through Friday with availability between 5am - 3:30pm OR 3pm - 2:30am • Work in seasonal weather conditions. • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening to include but not limited to background check, reference checks, drug and alcohol testing. • Ability to work well with hands, read tape measure, and lift up to 40lbs. • Understand and implement the basic training for vacuum infusion process. • Read and implement basic work instructions. • Follow Drug Free workplace policy. • Required PPE; Tyvek suit, work gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, possible respirator for some positions. Training classes for position to be held as production schedule warrants. Must have steel toe boots at the time of training class. Production Manager Overview: • The Production Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of all facets of planning, production, and assembly of parts at Jupiter Bach Pensacola. This role demands a proactive approach to maintaining schedules, process design, production flow, and timely delivery of quality products to meet dynamic customer demands. The manager will ensure a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible workplace, adhering to and fostering a culture that aligns with the company’s progressive objectives and policies. Key Responsibilities: • Production Planning and Management: Oversee the production and assembly of all parts, ensuring they align with the production schedules and customer requirements. • Scheduling: Optimize production schedules and workforce hours to meet changing customer demands while minimizing costs. • Quality: Guarantee that the manufacturing processes deliver products that meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations. • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture across all manufacturing and production areas, ensuring compliance with safety policies and environmental regulations. Oversee inventory levels to meet production and delivery schedules. • Documentation and Files: Maintain accurate files and records essential for planning, production, and delivery processes, ensuring all activities meet the demand and quality requirements. • Collaboration: Work cohesively with other department heads to align production strategies with broader company objectives, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across departments to foster an integrated approach to business challenges. Required Qualifications: • 2 years working in a production/manufacturing environment. • Experience in planning and logistics. • Technical skills - knowledge of machinery and equipment used in fiberglass manufacturing (vacuum bag and infusion processes). • Safety - knowledge of and experience in manufacturing safety standards. • Problem solving and communication skills required. • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Excel. • Project management skills required. Desirable Qualifications: • Knowledge of and application of Lean and 5s principles. • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
