A Snapshot of Your Day As a Wind Turbine Technician, you’ll be responsible for the routine service, maintenance, and solving of Siemens Gamesa and Senvion wind turbines. While based at a home wind farm, you’ll also support a mobile team that covers up to three additional sites as we need. How You’ll Make an Impact • Conducting blade inspections as a primary responsibility, thoroughly examining all blade quadrants. • Performing maintenance on turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs in a safe and timely manner. • Climbing turbines (300 feet) and working in confined spaces at elevation. • Recording and reporting service activity accurately using company tools and protocols. • Maintaining compliance with company safety standards, site rules, and environmental protocols. • Being physically prepared for job demands including ladder climbing (267 steps), lifting, bending, working overhead, and operating in adverse weather conditions. What You Bring • High school diploma or equivalent experience or GED or equivalent. • 2 years' technical, mechanical, or electrical field related to wind turbines. • Able to work safely in a team setting and meet physical demands, including weight under 265 lbs and passing a job-specific medical exam. • Experience with electrical systems: PLCs and converters; customer-facing. • Willing and able to travel up to 95%, domestically and internationally and maintain valid passport and driver’s license with a clean record.
