A Snapshot of Your Day Wind Turbine Troubleshooting Technicians are responsible for the routine service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Siemens Gamesa and/or Senvion wind turbines. This a 100% travel role and will support a mobile team that covers up to seven wind farms as needed. How You’ll Make an Impact • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs in a safe and timely manner. Recording and reporting service activity accurately using company tools and protocols • Supporting the development and feedback process for new and revised field procedures. Maintaining compliance with safety standards, site rules, and environmental protocols • Being physically prepared for job demands including ladder climbing (minimum 267 steps), lifting, bending, working overhead, and operating in adverse weather conditions • Traveling as required to support other sites and contribute to broader operational needs. You may also take on additional site lead level responsibilities depending on project needs and your experience. What You Bring • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in electrical or mechanical systems is preferred. Various combinations of training and experience will be considered. • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a technical, mechanical, or electrical field, ideally related to wind turbines. • Safety first mentality. This includes meeting the physical demands of the occupation, including a weight restrictions of under 265 lbs and passing a job-specific medical exam. • Strong skills in planning, problem-solving, and independent decision-making with a focus on quality and safety. • Hands on experience with electrical systems, including PLCs and converters; customer-facing experience is an asset. • Travel for this role is required, up to 100% of the time. This could include both domestic and international. Valid passport (or the ability to acquire one) and a driver’s license with a clean record are required and must be maintained throughout employment.
