Description: This is a Local Technician position. Candidate must live within commuting distance or be willing to relocate. Position is not eligible for Per Diem due to being a local technician. Job Responsibilities: · Participates daily in morning safety meeting. · Completes inspection of equipment and tools for safe use. · Participate in Job Safety Analysis · Inspect the exterior and physical integrity of the tower. · Climb towers to inspect, troubleshoot, or repair turbine equipment. · Test electrical components and systems, as well as mechanical and hydraulic systems. · Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions · Service underground transmission systems, wind field substations, or fiber optic sensing and control systems · Replace worn or malfunctioning components. · Follow maintenance manual and standard operating procedures for performing maintenance on wind turbine parts. · Complete and validate written and electronic progress reports · Complete end of day housekeeping. · Performs other job-related duties. Requirements: Job Requirements: · Must understand and be able to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair, all mechanical, hydraulic, braking, and electrical systems of a turbine. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Must have a team-driven attitude. · Ability to work on a diverse team. · Ability to use technology apps and devices. · Must have a valid ID. · Education and Experience: · Job Qualifications · High School Diploma or equivalent. · At least one year of related maintenance experience. · Active GWO Basic Safety Training certificate preferred. · At least one year of experience working around heavy equipment preferred. Physical Requirements: · Must be able to climb on a ladder system with tools and equipment to a height of at least 260 feet. · Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. · Must be able to climb and work for prolonged periods in potential extreme weather. · Must be able to enter and exit confines spaces for purpose of accessing mechanical parts. · Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment. · Must be able to work beyond normal operating hours as determined by business demands.
