Sheet Metal Mechanics (Indianapolis, IN)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana Pay Rate: $25-$35 per hour (Based on experience) Type: Local candidates only (No travelers, no per diem) Company: United Trades of America About Us: United Trades of America specializes in providing skilled tradesmen for the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment. • Operate and maintain various sheet metal machinery such as shears, brakes, punches, and drills. • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine the sequence of operations and dimensions of finished products. • Measure, cut, bend, and form metal components to required specifications. • Install HVAC systems, ductwork, and other metal structures. • Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations. • Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects efficiently. • Troubleshoot and repair sheet metal-related issues as they arise. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a sheet metal mechanic or similar role. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Proficient in using hand tools and machinery related to sheet metal work. • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions and heights. • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus. Additional Information: • This position is for local candidates only. No travelers or per diem provided. • Full-time position with opportunities for overtime based on project needs.
