Responsibilities: • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment. • Operate and maintain various sheet metal machinery such as shears, brakes, punches, and drills. • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine the sequence of operations and dimensions of finished products. • Measure, cut, bend, and form metal components to required specifications. • Install HVAC systems, ductwork, and other metal structures. • Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations. • Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects efficiently. • Troubleshoot and repair sheet metal-related issues as they arise. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a sheet metal mechanic or similar role. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Proficient in using hand tools and machinery related to sheet metal work. • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions and heights. • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus. Position: Sheet Metal Technician Type: Full-Time, Contract Schedule: 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM Location: Indianapolis, IN Pay Rate: $35.00– $45.00/hr Role Overview As a Sheet Metal Technician, you’ll transform raw materials into precise, high-quality components that support aircraft performance and safety. Your work will involve fabricating, bending, forming, and assembling sheet metal parts while following strict aviation standards and blueprints.
