For quicker response send resume to (Kgraf@aerotek.com) Responsibilities • Perform underground, water, sanitary, waste, PVC, and copper plumbing tasks. • Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. • Work with pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using various tools and methods such as couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment. • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, sinks, and toilets. • Engage in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components. • Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipes to required angles using pipe cutters, hand or power tools, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines. • Study building plans and inspect structures to assess materials and equipment needs, establish the sequence of pipe installations, and plan installation. • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, hangers, passage holes, or fixtures using measuring instruments. • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. • Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems and extend piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing. • Maintain or repair plumbing by replacing defective washers, repairing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains. • Anchor steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place. • Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine correct work procedures.
