Purpose of the position Will perform assigned pipefitting duties as an Amentum employee onsite at the NASA Johnson Space Center. Principal Responsibilities of the Position • Referral must have a strong background in all Pipe Fitting work • Fit weld fittings • Fit threaded fittings • Fit MJ (mechanical joint) fittings • Use Oxy-Gas torch • Operation Rigid 535 pipe machine • Fit copper fittings • Bolt-up flanges • Sweat copper • Take off for 4” standard 45° butt-weld • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Must be able to effectively work in a hot and noisy environment. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Education and Experience Requirements • Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background questionnaire. • Referral must provide documentation to support qualifications. • Insuring quality and completeness of work as well as insuring areas worked are clean, neat and ready for Customers’ needs when complete. • Must have a High School Diploma. Requirements • Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge. • Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire). • Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner. • Must have, and maintain, a valid Texas driver’s license.
