Apprentice Plumbers & Pipefitters The team at Glassman will teach you what you need to know to perform layout and installation of piping/plumbing systems. When you begin your apprenticeship, you will be taught to read blueprints and learn about installation, testing, repair, inspection and maintenance of a variety plumbing and piping systems. Travel is required. Journeyman Duties • Must have a complete and thorough understanding of all plumbing and mechanical systems, not only how they are installed, but also how they function • Installs and maintains various piping systems including but not limited to, plumbing, hydronic, med gas & process piping systems. • Uses trade tools and other equipment as required • Read, interpret and understand specifications, addenda, submittals and construction schedules • Ensure all work is performed and completed as specified by contract, engineering drawings, specifications and applicable codes • Be highly motivated to be the best in the industry • Must have excellent communication skills • Provide own transportation to and from work site • Ability to work with others Journeymen Requirements: • Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 pounds on a regular basis • Read, interpret and understand specifications, addenda, submittals and construction schedules • Must have an understanding of math, basic algebra and geometry • Full understanding of Plumbing and Mechanical trade codes, formulas and industry standards • Must have excellent communication skills • Provide own transportation to and from work site • Ability to work with others Apprentice Requirements: • Ability to lift a minimum of 100 pounds on a regular basis • Basic understanding of math • Provide own transportation to and from work site • Be highly motivated to be the best in the industry • Must have excellent communication skills • Provide own transportation to and from work site • Ability to work with others
