The incumbent of this position is a Sprinkler System Mechanic/Pipefitter in Engineering Service at the VA Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) Columbus, Ohio Incumbent installs, maintains, repairs and tests plumbing fixtures, water supply lines, drain lines, steam generating and using equipment, the steam distribution and condensate return system. Duties also include the installing, maintaining, repairing and testing of the building sprinkler system, fire hydrants, and the site sprinkler system.

Journeyman - Pipefitter

We currently have openings for Journeyman Pipefitters to work in our Mechanical division. We are looking for individuals who are willing to work in and around the Columbus Ohio area. Duties will include: • Industrial piping • Hot water, steam and chilled water systems • Carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, cast iron, PVC pipe • Welding/soldering/brazing of pipe systems • Installation of pumps, boilers & chillers • Blueprint reading • Safe work practices • Journeyman certification or equivalent experience to provide the skills necessary to perform the work of a Journeyman Pipefitter • 3+ years’ experience with commercial/industrial HVAC systems(preferred) • Driver’s License & reliable transportation Vaughn Industries is a family owned construction company headquartered in Carey, Ohio that has been in business for 60 years. Pipefitter Journeyman Needed ASAP

ENGIE has an immediate opening for a Steam Fitter position located in Columbus, OH . This role will perform maintenance on all Utility Plant equipment in an efficient and safe manner. The Steam Fitter responsibilities include but are not limited to all ENGIE operated utility plants equipment on campus. This includes boilers, chillers, cooling towers, steam and condensate systems, fans, pumps, air compressors, all piping systems, and all other related equipment. What you'll do: Work as part of a maintenance team with a goal of decreasing downtime and improving efficiency. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including steam, water, and heating systems. Responsible for the installation and repairing of expansion joints, valves, gaskets, and steam traps. Read drawings, complete layouts, cut/join and fit pipe tubing. Ability to make pipe patterns for saddles, reducers, and offsets along with pipe fabrication. Maintain condensate systems. Install, repair, replace, maintain, and modify piping systems and condensable lines What you bring: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Four years of pipefitting experience and/or three years and one year of training/education. Perform proper rigging and use of mobile cranes, lift conveyors and hoists. Ability to work 10-hour shifts (6AM-4:30PM). Valid Driver's License. Computer literacy. Preferred experience as a Journeyman in pipefitting. Additional Information/Conditions: Ability to meet highest attendance requirements. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally. Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
