We are currently looking for experienced Welder/Pipefitters The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5+ years of experience in commercial welding and pipefitting. General knowledge requirements: Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors during all weather conditions. Work may be performed at heights above 20 feet in the air. Must have reliable transportation to/from the jobs sites and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Requirements: 3 - 5+ years of experience in commercial welding and pipefitting. VRF certification is preferred. For safety reasons, basic English proficiency is required A pre-employment drug screen is required. You must have a valid driver's license. OSHA 10 or 30 Certification. Journeyman License is a plus! General knowledge requirements: Ability to read, understand, and install according to blueprints. Ability to lay out and fit pipe together. Ability to weld pipe in all positions (standing, kneeling, etc.) Ability to weld a variety of pipe (stainless, carbon steel, etc.) Ability to sweat and braze copper. Ability to perform installation of hangers and supports. Ability to use roll groove machine. Job Duties: Cuts pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine. Threads pipe using threading machine. Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine. Tests piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks. Oxy-Act torch experience, relief valves and general valve maintenance. Special skill of pipe welding is a plus. General knowledge of pumps, compressors, agitators, bearings, and seals. Must be available to work over 8 hours/day and over 40 hours/week. Pay Rate: $34.84 to $37.83 Note: Successful candidates must be able to pass a written skills test and a hands on skills test.
