See More Details >>Job Description We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to lead our team in executing pipe fitting tasks at various construction and industrial sites. The role involves interpreting blueprints and specifications, selecting appropriate materials, and overseeing the assembly and installation of piping systems. Responsibilities • Review blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and material specifications. • Select the type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to specifications. • Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes. • Prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components in various positions. • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding. • Install hangers, supports, valves, and components according to piping system plans and specifications. • Perform leak tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems. • Identify and correctly use tools required for tasks, including grinders, drills, and beveling machines. • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes. • Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment. Essential Skills • Proficiency in pipe fitting and interpreting blueprints. • Ability to read and understand weld symbols, weld procedures, mechanical and structural drawings. • Skill in using Oxy/fuel and Plasma hand cutting torch, plasma cutting. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with B31.3, B31.4, and API 1104 codes. • Welding and/or tacking experience using the GTAW process. • Familiarity with weld inspections and inspection documentation. • NCCER Certification as an Industrial Pipe Fitter. • Formal/technical education in relevant fields. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
