Tig Welder/Pipe Fitter - Full-time

Job Description BME Fire Trucks is looking for experienced fitters and welders. As a Tig Pipe Welder, you will perform skilled work pertaining to plumbing and welding such as assembling parts, installing pipe, and welding using the GTAW process. This Welder will need to be reliable and able to work with little to no supervision. As a part of this team you will be responsible for: • Setting up and adjusting specific welding equipment • Reading and listening to instructions • Examine prints or plans • Measuring materials • Using appropriate welding methods to attach pieces of materials to build or fabricate finished products or parts • Performing welds that are appropriate and acceptable for the products fabricated Requirements Qualifications WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently. • Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds (rarely required but could be possible) • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly as well as climb stairs/ladders • Ability to pass a drug test and a criminal background check. • Ability to pass a welding test • Stainless steel welding experience • Ability to read blueprints • Plumbing experience • 2-3 years in metal fabrication and welding • Ability to use oxy/ac • Ability to use plasma torch BONUS POINTS FOR: • HVAC • Residential and/or commercial plumbing experience This is a full-time permanent positions located on site in Boise, Idaho.
