Pipefitter Lead - Travel Required

Job Description: We are looking for a Lead Pipefitter with 10-15 years of experience in commercial pipefitting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is committed to craftsmanship, and enjoys solving complex problems. This role is perfect for an experienced pipefitter who has led projects and a team and who can refine processes, and help build the future of commercial piping within our DMC platform. Role Expectations: • Build and lead a team of pipefitters and apprentices while actively working in the field. • Demonstrate expertise in commercial pipefitting, including blueprint reading, system layout, and installation. • Develop a deep understanding of Creature's systems and processes and apply them to streamline field operations. • Provide mentorship and training to team members, ensuring professional growth and consistent execution. • Collaborate with Project Management (PM) teams to ensure efficient labor planning and smooth workforce allocation. • Standardize training and recruitment processes for new field talent, fostering a high-performance culture. Requirements: • 10-15 years of hands-on pipefitting experience in commercial and healthcare settings. • Strong knowledge of healthcare and mechanical piping systems. • Hold welding certifications, and competent in brazing, soldering, press-type, and medical gas • Proven experience leading crews and managing field operations. • Master Pipefitter certification (or a clear pathway to obtaining it). • Willingness to pursue additional training and certifications as needed. • A can-do attitude, with the ability to problem-solve and perform under pressure. Pipe Fitter - 1st Class

Description: A Pipefitter at Master Boat Builders will configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems, and ensure smooth operation of those systems. Duties/Responsibilities: • Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves. • Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates working procedure based on specifications. • Gathers equipment and materials for the job. • Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes. • Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering. • Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems. • Complies with safety regulations and codes. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to read schematics and blueprints. • Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience: • Successful apprenticeship that included classroom and on-the-job instruction in pipefitting or related field is preferred. • At least 3 years of on the job experience pipe fitting preferably in a shipyard. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. • Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
