These are mainly first shift opportunities with a pay range of up to $30/hour dependent on experience & skill level. Journeyman Pipefitter (Traveling) - Alabama Projects Location: Various Locations in Alabama Pay: $28-$36/hr + Per Diem (TBD) Company: United Trades of America Job Summary: United Trades of America is hiring Traveling Journeyman Pipefitters for projects across Alabama. Candidates must be Journeyman level, OSHA 10 certified (minimum), and able to pass written, verbal, and hands-on tests. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required. Pipefitter certifications are preferred. Pipe Fitter - 1st Class

Description: A Pipefitter at Master Boat Builders will configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems, and ensure smooth operation of those systems. Duties/Responsibilities: • Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves. • Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates working procedure based on specifications. • Gathers equipment and materials for the job. • Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes. • Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering. • Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems. • Complies with safety regulations and codes. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to read schematics and blueprints. • Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience: • Successful apprenticeship that included classroom and on-the-job instruction in pipefitting or related field is preferred. • At least 3 years of on the job experience pipe fitting preferably in a shipyard. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. • Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
