The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in assembling and fabricating metal components, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and specifications. Your expertise in welding and mechanical knowledge will contribute to the successful completion of projects while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities: • Drawing on extensive technical training and experience, directs and works on modification to new and existing equipment to insure continuity of operations • Preventative maintenance, repairs, inspection, testing, & adjustments on equipment. • Performs tasks of above average difficulty associated with the trade • Diagnoses failures and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrences. • Types of equipment to be maintained include, but are not limited to: Hydraulic pumps, engines, transmissions, clutches, frames, brakes, power take-offs, hydraulic jacks, mobile equipment and other components, or attachments, etc. Schedule: • Monday-Friday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm • Opportunity for overtime on Weekdays and Weekends Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Shift: • Day shift Ability to Commute: • Kahului, HI 96732 (Required) Work Location: In person

Welder/Mechanic

About the position Responsibilities • Perform daily equipment inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions. • Operate company equipment, including DOT required Class B equipment. • Conduct basic and specialized welding for structural components and equipment maintenance. • Read blueprints and interpret welding symbols to complete tasks accurately. • Operate welding machines, acetylene torches, and other shop equipment as needed. • Test and inspect welded surfaces to discover flaws and ensure quality. • Maintain equipment to uphold safety standards and functionality. • Assist other tradesmen with repairs and direct the work of trades helpers as needed. • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs on various heavy equipment. • Keep accurate logs of all work performed and prepare necessary reports. Requirements • Pass the job description physical capacity functions test. • Possess personal tools for welding and maintenance tasks. • Maintain a valid DOT medical certificate and Hawaii State Driver's License. • Achieve Stick, All Positions, Unlimited Certification (AWS D1.1 - SMAW Structural Welding). • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends. Nice-to-haves • 2-year Associates Degree in Welding or Metal Fabrication. • Experience as a Gas or Diesel Power Mechanic.
