Job Responsibilities 1. Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools/materials requirements. 2. Plans details of work procedure, tools, and material requirements. 3. Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various materials utilizing acetylene, oxyacetylene, and plasma ARC welding techniques. 4. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded in addition to set up and assembly. 5. Utilizes burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape. 6. Skills • Must have a strong understanding of welding rod/wire and the tensile strength associated with each. • Must have own hand tools up to ¾” drive to perform necessary maintenance. • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to read and understand repair manuals and diagrams. • Ability to work with others in a team environment. • Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets. • Must be available for shift work, overtime, holidays and weekends. • Progression through wage scale is contingent upon satisfactory completion of attached checklists.
