The Sheet Metal Assistant will be responsible for aiding help with fabrication and installation of all sheet metal on various commercial roof systems. Starting pay: $18-$20 per hour Responsibilities: • Must be able to do copper, solder, and operate a auto break • Experience with standing seam metal roof system, metal wall panel system, plate and ACM metal wall panel systems. • Experience in single-ply membrane systems. • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly, repeated bending, climbing, kneeling • Must be able to climb a ladder 40' • Must be able to work in the heat and cold • No fear of heights • Must work well in a team environment Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years old • Minimum 1-2+ years of verifiable experience • Experience with concealed fastener and exposed fastener metal roof systems • Familiarity with metal soffits and wall panels • Ability to operate either a manual or automatic metal brake machine • Proficiency with commercial flat roof metal flashings, including coping, counterflashing, drip edge, continuous cleats, conductor heads, downspouts, gutters, etc. • Valid US driver's license • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly • Must be able to work at varying heights and during variety of weather conditions • Ability to communicate well with clients, supervisor and co-workers. Working Conditions: • Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature. • Physical Effort: Extensive standing, walking, climbing ladders.
