CMS provides commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and plumbing services across the Colorado Front Range, including Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins Colorado Mechanical Systems is looking for HVAC Sheet Metal Foreman/General Foreman to be an integral part of our projects in the Denver metro area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Planning and Pre-planning • Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembling, and installing sheet metal products • Responsibility for entire duct detailing function. • Coordinates all duct deliveries with shop • May study schedules and estimate requirements for completion of job. Analyze and resolves work problems • Coordinates ductwork with other trades, i.e., plumbing, piping, framers, steel, fire sprinklers, etc. • Order sheet metal materials as necessary to meet the project schedule • Coordinates equipment delivery with project manager/engineer and general contractor • Checks all deliveries for accuracy and completeness • Updates as-builts Daily Reports • Manpower hours and productivity • Delivery records • Tool log record • Safety talk record • Project meetings record • Documentation of communication with general contractor • Rental log • Subcontractor activities • Additional information - RFI's, employee problems, phone conversations, schedule changes Supervisory Responsibilities • Supervises installation of all duct, duct accessories, equipment, and related material • Review daily time cards • Sets daily and weekly installation goals • Moderates safety meetings • Daily inspections for installation, safety • Enforces CMS policies and procedures • Daily and weekly direction for crews • Determines crew size and hours worked • Enforces disciplinary measures as needed • Enforces quality standards • Enforces code compliance • Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications and CMS requirements. Installation Responsibilities • CMS foremen are working foreman. When not with internal CMS operations team or General Contractor for coordination meeting it is expected that foremen will be working with tools. • Installing, hangers, ductwork, setting curbs, helping with crane picks, demo or cleaning site. • Physical requirements: Able to lift, push, pull and twist up to 50 lbs throughout the workday. Work overhead, climb ladders, work on uneven surfaces for extended periods of time. • Daily work activities include: sitting, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, digging, and ascending and descending ladders and scaffolding constantly throughout the work day. Customer Service Responsibilities • Daily communication with general contractor and CMS operations team • Weekly job site meetings • Coordination with other trades EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE • Minimum of five years commercial experience. • Should have experience with the following duct work: TDF, Pittsburgh and snap lock construction, TDC, Duct mate, 22mm, 35mm,S & D, Spiral, Duct Board Fiberglass, FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic ductwork) • Extensive knowledge of local building codes. • Basic knowledge of OSHA safety requirements as outlined in company policy. • Must have the ability to layout a duct system from a blueprint and set elevations. Pay: $35.00-$47.00/hour depending on skill and experience. Company vehicle will be provided with sufficient MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
