Aerotek is hiring AIRCRAFT SHEET METAL MECHANICS for family owned and operated company in Denver CO! $30-38/hr Overview The Sheet Metal Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of aircraft structures. This position involves performing aviation and backshop structural repairs and modifications on a variety of boeing military aircraft. Shift • 6:00am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday) • Overtime: could be able to do 2 hours a day of overtime, but is not promised or required Pay $30-38/hr (depending on experience) Responsibilities • Completing work orders and performing general repairs under the direct supervision of a lead tech • Not working on aircraft -instead, will be working on a bench repairing, modifying, refurbishing, and fabricating sheet metal structural assemblies and sub-assemblies • Day to day duties include working with a variety of fasteners, riveting, bending, countersinking, and precision drilling • Examples of structural components being worked on include landing gear doors, ailerons, flaps, etc. Skills • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to aircraft maintenance • Experience with reading blueprints and schematics • Basic mechanical skills and aptitude or previous training with sheet metal • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated Work Environment Will be working in a nice, large, climate controlled backshop. 40 employees total, everyone knows everyone, great work culture!
