ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings like a pro. • Run top-of-the-line CNC machinery — including TRUMPF CNC press brakes, punch presses, laser cutters, shears, and hardware insertion equipment. • Shape, bend, and assemble precision sheet metal components to exacting specs. • Ensure every piece you produce meets strict dimensional and cosmetic standards. • Use precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers to perform in-process inspections. • Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to troubleshoot, tweak, and optimize. • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform basic machine maintenance. • Handle hand tools and pneumatic equipment with confidence and care. Experience: • 2–5 years of experience in precision sheet metal fabrication. • Pro-level skills reading mechanical drawings and work orders. • In-depth knowledge of aluminum, mild steel, gauges, and fabrication methods. • Solid experience with hand tools, power tools, and CNC equipment. Other: • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. • Physically able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Typical duties include but are not limited to: • Interpret blueprints, models, and specifications to plan and execute sheet metal fabrication and welding tasks • Operate sheet-metal machinery and hand tools to cut, bend, form, and assemble components for structural, HVAC, and mechanical systems • Perform welding using gas, brazing, and arc processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW) across a variety of applications including pipefitting, structural supports, and equipment repairs • Weld, inspect, and maintain pressure vessels and steam systems in compliance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code standards • Conduct thermal cutting, grinding, and finishing operations; diagnose and repair cracks, corrosion, and fatigue in pressurized systems • Collaborate with inspectors and engineers to ensure code compliance; maintain documentation and support cross-functional maintenance tasks as needed Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in welding, sheet metal work, and industrial maintenance • Experience with pressure vessel and steam system welding preferred • AWS Certified Welder (CW) required • QC7 Supplement C (Sheet Metal) preferred • Familiarity with ASME Section IX and D1.1/D9.1 codes required • Proficiency in basic shop math and blueprint reading • Skilled in using inspection tools and fabrication equipment • Knowledge of welding safety standards and pressure vessel codes • Strong communication and documentation skills • Competency in using computers and relevant software Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance.
