Journeyman Plumber

Reports to: Plumbing Manager Department: Plumbing Labor 30 Job Type: Full-time/Hourly (Non-Exempt) Total Compensation: $24.00 to 30.00 per hour Essential Skills: • Working safely is our company’s number one business objective. It will be a condition of employment that all employees are expected to work safely and contribute to the safety of others • Excavate soil to access plumbing apparatus. • Diagnose plumbing system performance through observation, testing and setup. • Disassemble and reassemble plumbing equipment to perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. • Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform service to the equipment and/or mechanical system. • Complete work orders, task lists and documents to verify work performed. • Responds to, diagnoses, and resolves plumbing emergencies. • Keeps accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and material used. • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade and operates them safely. • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and safety practices. • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron and copper. • This individual must possess the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization; as well as, external vendors, business contacts, existing customers, and potential customers. • Demonstrates and promotes a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the company. • Continually looks for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively. • Continually strives to improve personal performance. Takes an active role in seeking training or other opportunities for growth and development. • Does not divulge any confidential personnel and/or corporate policy. • Will not engage in gossip or other unprofessional conduct. • Educates customers about products and creates add-on sales opportunities where applicable. • Ensures complete protection of customer’s property during installation of products. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. • Completes work orders, task lists and documents to verify work performed. • Ability to complete projects unassisted with minimal supervision. • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements. • Participates in the on-call rotation. • Lifts 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally. • Works in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Requirements. • This is a “safety sensitive” position. • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. • Must be able to operate and maneuver company vehicles safely and constantly, follow relevant rules and regulations regarding vehicle operation, and avoid, where possible and practical, motor vehicle accidents. • On occasion, overnight travel could be required. • Regular Attendance is an essential function of this job. Qualifications/Experience: • Arkansas State Journeyman Plumbing License required. • 1-3 years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber. • High School Diploma or GED. • Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record. • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics. • Must be detail-oriented and organized. • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Benefits Include: • Competitive pay. • Here at ASC, each pay period for payroll is the duration of 1 week. It begins on Wednesday and goes through the following Tuesday. All hourly positions here at ASC will be eligible for overtime, which includes any hours worked over 40 hours within the same weekly pay period. Licensed Plumber

Licensed Plumber A Licensed Plumber is responsible for independently installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems for water, gas, and drainage in accordance with building codes and job specifications. This role includes supervising and guiding a team of apprentice plumbers, with minimal oversight required. Apprentice Plumber

Apprentice Plumber Purpose: As an apprentice plumber, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects. While working under the guidance of journeyman plumbers, you will learn to install, modify, inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures in gas, water, and drainage systems according to applicable building codes for either single family residential or multifamily housing. The purpose of your apprenticeship is to earn your journeyman license so you can then teach apprentice plumbers the trade.
