BURLINGTON, IA | Klingner & Associates, P.C. is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing Designer.Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing Designers are key players at Klingner, working collaboratively to find innovative and practical solutions. Responsibilities • Assist with creation and development of detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system designs for a wide variety of projects. • Become familiar with relevant codes and standards and apply them to design. • Assist with production of construction documents. • Generate and maintain clear documentation throughout the project process. • Collaborate in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate. • Use good written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills to complete projects. • Manage time and workload to meet project task deadlines and commitments within your projects’ budgets and schedules. • Report to intermediate and senior-level coworkers regularly. • Travel occasionally to support project tasks. • Take field measurements and assist with field site inspections. NOTE: This is a full-time position. Qualifications • 0-2+ years of work experience developing engineering drawings. • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution. • Completion, or on track to completing, the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. • Familiarity with Revit is preferred. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform work assignments with minimal supervision. Salary Range: $28-$39 Salaries may vary based on experience and qualifications. The listed ranges are typical.
