POSITION SUMMARY The Fitter is responsible for understanding blueprints and welding techniques to execute the highest standards of welding performance. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Interpret blueprints to fabricate structural steel Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
