Position Overview: The Pipefitter will configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems, and ensure smooth operation of those systems. The Pipefitter will be responsible for cutting, assembling, installing pipes, and will operate tools and machines to grind, mill, and shape raw materials into a specified form, then assemble the final product. Responsibilities and Duties: • Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves. • Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates working procedure based on specifications. • Gathers equipment and materials for the job. • Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes. • Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps; cuts or bores holes prior to project. • Installs various types of pipe covering; safely removes and properly discards of old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and in accordance with EPA and OSHA requirements. • Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems. • Coordinates with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations. • Complies with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices. • Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details. • Assist with jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program. • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture. • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned. Qualifications: Education and Experience • Basic math skills. • Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches. • Ability to read schematics and blueprints. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Training • Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10 hour within 60 days of starting at hth companies. Pipe Welder Pipe Fitter

Skilled Trades Services is currently looking for Pipe Welders/ Pipe Fitters for Muscatine, IA. Must have 6 years of experience and must show the experience on a resume. This is an industrial food grade project. Will be doing TIG stainless steels with argon for back gassing, piping installation. This is a 3-month project but could lead into a temp to perm position for the right person. Will be working 40 hours a week, Monday- Friday, pay is $30 an hour with $100 a day per diem for days worked if you are traveling over 50-mile radius. Must be able to pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and will be online plant orientation safety training before starting.

This position involves both welding and fitting of stainless and carbon steel piping systems in commercial and industrial settings. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, safety-focused professionals with strong TIG welding and pipe-fitting experience who can read and interpret technical drawings and deliver high-quality work.
