Job Description We are seeking a skilled Construction Worker 2 to join our team for the Stibnite Mine Development Project in central Idaho. Construction Worker 2 is a level below Construction Worker 1 and is considered an intermediate skill position that encompasses various trades, including, but not limited to: Carpenter, Concrete Worker, Iron Worker, Pipe Fitter, HDPE Pipe Fuser, Crane Operator, Underground Miner, and others. The role and title are designed to accommodate a worker who may be asked to perform multiple or unique tasks not covered by more specific job titles. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple trades and the flexibility to handle different onsite tasks as needed. This is an on-site position following the 19/9 shift rotation, and the Construction Worker 2 will report directly to the Project Foreman. Key Responsibilities · Perform medium-level tasks across various trades, including carpentry, concrete work, iron work, pipe fitting, HDPE pipe fusion, crane operation, underground mining, and other specialized activities as needed. · Adapt to unique or unspecified roles to support project needs, ensuring smooth integration into different work crews. · Assist in construction and mining activities, including building structures, pouring concrete, welding or fabricating metal, installing piping systems, operating heavy machinery, and conducting underground operations. · Along with primary responsibilities, the employee may need to operate various types of equipment or perform tasks from different trades to support project requirements. · Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on tools and equipment across various disciplines. · Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment. · Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and objectives. · Keep a tidy and efficient workspace by organizing tools properly, arranging the site layout, cleaning equipment daily, and maintaining work zones. Scope of Work The ‘Construction Worker 2’ will carry out various tasks essential to the Stibnite Mine Development Project, including: · Carpentry Tasks: Build, install, and repair wooden structures, formwork, and supports for mining and construction activities. · Concrete Work: Mix, pour, finish, and cure concrete for foundations, slabs, and other structural elements. · Iron Work: Fabricate, weld, and install reinforcing steel, structural metal, and related components. · Pipe Fitting: Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for water, fuel, or other utilities. · HDPE Pipe Fusion: Fuse and install high-density polyethylene pipes using specialized equipment. · Crane Operation: Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment safely. · Underground Mining: Perform excavation, tunneling, bolting, and support installation in underground environments. · Versatile Support: Fill unique or ad-hoc roles not covered by specific job titles, adapting to project demands. · Quality Control: Monitor and verify that work across trades meets project specifications and standards. · Site Preparation: Prepare work areas and equipment for efficient operations in various trades. · Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on tools and machinery from multiple disciplines. · Consumables Maintenance: Support the management and proper use of consumable items as needed across various tasks. · Attachment Operation: Use various attachments (e.g., buckets, hammers, grapples) for specialized equipment tasks. · Facility Maintenance: Maintain an efficient and clean site, including proper layout, daily cleanout, and upkeep of work areas. Employees will stay in a camp at the project site during their shifts. The schedule is 19 days on and 9 days off, with two of the 19 days counted as paid travel days. The company will provide transportation to and from the site for both on- and off-shift rotations. Meals will be served at a catered cafeteria at the camp, and employees will have access to showers and laundry services. Camp Policies • The camp is a "dry" camp, meaning the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited on-site. • This policy is in place to ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees. • Employees must follow this policy at all times during their shifts. Safety and Compliance The Stibnite Mine Development Project operates under the oversight of both OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration). All employees will undergo thorough training to obtain the necessary certifications for their roles, work locations, and tasks.
