This role involves performing rough and finish carpentry work on a variety of structural projects, including bridges, retaining walls, concrete structures, tunnels, overpasses, and other civil infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience with large-scale structural formwork, layout, and concrete placement. Essential Job Accountabilities • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications • Build and install formwork for structural concrete components such as walls, columns, beams, decks, and abutments • Layout and construct falsework and temporary support structures • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and prefabricated form systems (e.g., Symons, EFCO, Peri) • Set forms to line and grade using levels, lasers, and string lines • Strip and clean forms after concrete placement • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols • Collaborate with laborers, equipment operators, and concrete finishers to complete tasks efficiently • Operate hand tools, power tools, and other carpentry equipment safely • Work in varying conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and all weather types Education • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience Work Experience • Appropriate training and experience required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Workers should be able to: • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems • Plan work and select proper tools • Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects • Picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams • Perform a variety of duties which may change often; and rate information using standards that can be measured or checked. Physically, workers must be able to: • Climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders • Reach for, handle, and manipulate objects and materials • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds • Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see well (either naturally or with correction). Overview We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction trades and be capable of performing a wide range of tasks on construction sites.
