The Opportunity: Fenner Wind Farm with its 20 wind turbines is the second largest of the wind farms in Madison County, NY near the beautiful town of Cazenovia. Together these turbines are capable of producing 30 MW of electricity - enough to supply 10,000 homes. What You'll Do at Enel North America: Wind turbine technicians inspect, troubleshoot, install components and repair wind turbines and turbine internal and external components such as controllers. They review manuals and schematic diagrams to determine the tasks, tools, equipment and parts needed. A Tech II will typically be a strong troubleshooter and be required to return turbines to service after faults in a timely manner. You might also be asked to lead a maintenance crew and/or mentor Tech I’s. • Complete all scheduled maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment in a timely manner to maximize generation • Install, test, maintain and troubleshoot minor components and assist with some major components • Perform current and voltage calculations as necessary • Initiate reports and records associated with maintenance and repairs. • Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSA’s, and job specific documentation that is required to conduct maintenance and repairs in the safest manner possible. • Proactively look for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures • Perform data collection and prepare reports in order to meet reporting requirements • Mentor lower level technicians • Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required • Working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements What You've Accomplished: • 2+ years relevant work experience in wind energy or • A.S.
