Your Impact: Pearce is seeking a Local Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician III, with a commitment to excellence, strong desire to succeed and learn new skills utilizing established procedures, with the highest regard for health, safety, and environmental compliance. As a Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician III, you will carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, minor service, and/or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. This position is 75% local and 25% travel. Must live within 90 miles of Jacksonville, IL. Core Responsibilities • Conduct maintenance of equipment (fueling, lubrication, etc.) • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements. • Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) as required to maintain a safe working environment. • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records, using computer-based service reporting tools and procedures. • Use of various torque and tension tools. • Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisor with general supervision. • Requires GWO Certification, either existing or available through Pearce Training Program. Core Experience • 3 years of experience in wind maintenance required. • GWO certified (preferred). • Work within confined space areas, such as inside a wind turbine nacelle. • Knowledge of various turbine platforms. • Work meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules. Physical/Work Environment At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA/DOT Standards. • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet. • Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance. • Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds). • Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses. Compensation $25/hr. - $40/hr.
