Manufacturing Technician- Assembly (Mon. - Fri., 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

A Snapshot of Your Day Assembly Technicians play an integral part within our Production Teams. As an Assembly Technician you’ll perform a sequence of predefined, specialized and different mechanical assembly operations. These include specialized testing and problem-solving analysis in conjunction with other team members. With guidance form manufacturing leadership, Siemens Gamesa Assembly Technicians are expected to plan their own work steps in cooperation with other team members in order to complete assigned mechanical assembly tasks. How You’ll Make an Impact Performs a set of qualified assembly operations, which may include all electronic, electro-mechanic and mechanic assemblies or sub-assemblies. Constantly monitors availability of parts, tools and machines needed to complete product in the relevant subsequent steps of the overall assembly process. Uses specific equipment and/or a range of specialized tools and machines and maintains functionality. Contributes to the planning of testing, analyzing test results, mechanical assembly, and other duties assigned to them by leadership. Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations. Strictly adheres to all established safety procedures. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. A minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly is preferred. Experience in other trades like construction, plumbing, electrical, and pipe fitting will be considered as well. Must be familiar with the use of various hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and lifting/rigging equipment. Ability to meet production standards. This requires exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills. The job requires a high level of dexterity. Assembly technicians will be standing, Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and twisting for the duration of their shift. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
