Your Impact: Pearce is seeking a Local Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician I, with a commitment to excellence, strong desire to succeed and learn new skills utilizing established procedures, with the highest regard for health, safety, and environmental compliance. As a Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician I, you will carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, minor service, and/or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. This position is 75% local and 25% travel. Must live within 90 miles of Davenport, IA Core Responsibilities • Conduct maintenance of equipment (fueling, lubrication, etc.) • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements. • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records, using computer-based service reporting tools and procedures. • Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, mopping, wiping oil, grease, solvent spills. • Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisor with general supervision. Core Experience • Less than two years of experience in wind maintenance. • Graduate from Accredited Trade School or relevant mechanical or electrical experience. • GWO Certified (preferred) • Work within confined space areas, such as inside a wind turbine nacelle. • Work meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules. Physical/Work Environment At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA/DOT Standards. • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet. • Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance. • Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds). • Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses. Overview: As the Solar Commissioning Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the commissioning phase of Photovoltaic plants, ensuring successful plant handovers.
