See More Details >>Your Tasks • Define concept and detailed design of the Power Converter of the Nordex WTGs based on the Power Electric system specifications. • Create converter sub-assemblies design and tests specifications and collaborate with the manufacturers in the validation of the converter parts. • In collaboration with Auxiliary Power Supply team and/or external suppliers, participate in the definition of the 3D layout of the complete converter and sub-assemblies the in Eplan Pro-panel software and the complete electrical design in Eplan P8. • Design test and validate embedded software for the basic control functions of the converter • Development and validation of converter software features to meet WTG operation and market specific requirements. Deliver the needed software packages for converter operation as well as for electrical simulation model needs. • Define converter system test specifications and validate results in stand-alone and generator-connected test benches • Based on Eplan P8 electric design, create the converter design solution structure, upload and maintain the Bill of Materials and related information into the Nordex PLM system • Provide technical support to the WTG certification by preparing whatever technical documentation required by the certification body. • Support sourcing department in the commercial discussions with converter and component suppliers. • Provide specialist support to Service department during the operation of the converters in the field. Your Profile • Qualification: Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical/Power Electronics Engineering or similar. • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar background, preferably in the power electronics field. • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a global industrial environment. • Experience with functionality and requirements of power electronic components, related to both development and testing. • Comprehensive and relevant knowledge of power electronic components on power plant level, ideally due to experience with a wind turbine OEM or similar. Experience with power-to-gas (e.g. hydrogen) generation and grid forming using power electronics is a plus. • Experience with power electronics design and simulation tools and with relevant PDM/PLM/ERP software tools is a plus. • Fluent in English, spoken and written.
