Welder/Fabricator

Max Manufacturing, one of Central Oregon's most skilled fab shops, is searching for an experienced structural steel fabricator. This position involves multiple types of metal fabrication, from heavy structural steel to light gauge cosmetic, you will see it all. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Knowledge and use of handheld fabrication equipment • Ability to operate forklift routinely in a safe manner • Well versed in general fabrication techniques • Ability to read and understand shop drawings, blueprints and sketches as required to produce projects • Must have physical strength and manual dexterity, including hand/eye coordination, to manage all materials and tasks as required per job • 5+ years of experience Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities • Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement. • Advanced knowledge of MIG and Stick welders, plasma cutters, and airless paint Sprayers. Familiar with the basic use of hand tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
