Director of Solar Field Operations

About This Role: The Director of Field Operations at LGCY Power is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall operations of the field operations teams. This role ensures that all projects are executed efficiently, meet performance standards, and align with the strategic objectives of the company. The Director collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize field operations, manage resources, and ensure that the customer experience is seamless from project initiation to completion while maximizing company performance. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: • Lead and mentor the field management team to ensure operational excellence and adherence to safety standards. • Understand daily field operations and promote, create, and help field teams implement processes using a six-sigma approach to increase efficiency. • Evaluate team performance and provide feedback, coaching, and development plans to ensure continual improvement. Operations Management: • Oversee field operations including scheduling, resource allocation, and the quality control of work performed by field personnel. • Ensure that all field projects meet company performance metrics, deadlines, and budget constraints. • Manage and resolve escalated field-related issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and project completion. Strategic Planning & Reporting: • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement operational strategies that align with business goals. • Analyze field operations data to identify trends and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. • Update and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), field productivity, and project outcomes for leadership review. Customer Experience & Stakeholder Management: • Act as a primary point of contact for sales and executive leadership, ensuring effective communication regarding field operations. • Resolve escalated customer issues related to fieldwork and provide solutions that uphold the company’s standards of service, such as company brand and values. • Work closely with the Sales and Customer Service teams to handle escalations. Health, Safety & Compliance: • Ensure that all field operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. • Implement and monitor safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all field personnel. • Conduct regular safety audits and field inspections to ensure adherence to company policies. • All other duties as assigned by the VP of Field Operations and the COO.
