Sheet Metal Installer

Cedar Park Group is hiring HVAC Sheet Metal Installers for a commercial project. We're looking for both Journeyman (5+ years experience) and Apprentice-level (1–3 years) mechanics with experience forming and installing metal for heating ducts. A mix of skill levels is welcomed on site. Key Responsibilities • Fabricate, cut, and install sheet metal for HVAC duct systems. • Follow blueprints and supervisor instructions accurately. • Use tools of the trade to ensure precise ductwork and secure fittings. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Responsibilities: • Measure, cut, bend, power tools, and machinery (e.g., shears, brakes, presses, and welders). • Install and secure sheet metal components, ducts, piping, and systems in various construction or industrial settings. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, and installation procedures. • Perform welding and soldering tasks to join metal components, ensuring the structural integrity of assemblies. • Use saws, grinders, and other tools to cut, shape, and smooth metal components. • Assemble and fit components, ensuring that they align properly and are securely fastened. • Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications and make adjustments as needed. • Repair or replace damaged sheet metal products, including ventilation systems, ductwork, and roofing. • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Maintain inventory of materials and tools, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and handling of sheet metal and components. • Performs other duties as assigned. • * Ability to manage time, delegate assignments and follow through to ensure good results. • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws. • Ability to use computer tools including E-Mail, Word, etc. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work Experience / Skills • 3+ years' experience in sheet metal fabrication, installation, or maintenance. • Proficient in using sheet metal tools, including shears, brakes, drills, rivet guns, and welding equipment. • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Strong understanding of measurements, angles, and calculations for precise fabrication and installation. • Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to issues that arise during fabrication or installation. • Precision in measurements, cuts, and assembly to meet high standards. • Capability to lift heavy materials, work in various positions, and maintain focus for extended periods. • Ability to organize tasks. • Ability to use good judgment in making work assignments. • Ability to ensure safe work practices and ensure compliance with Safety policies. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours. • Good driving record. • Valid driver’s license. • Track record of punctuality and dependability. Sheet Metal Fabricator
